AJ has a recent obsession with knowing EVERYONE's name..... the cashier, the people at restaurants (eating, working, using the restroom), anyone we see he asks what their name is. Well we were sitting at a red light the other day next to a large semi truck. AJ asked what that man's name driving the truck was. I told him I didn't know because everyone has different names and we don't know everyone we see. Well after being asked the question about 15 more times, I blurted out I don't know, maybe his name his Hank, Bill or Aaron. AJ looked at me while shaking his head and said, "no mom, his name is Princess I think." I'm sure the trucker would have been thrilled (:
AJ repeatedly asked for a trumpet and a plane for Christmas. So he got a trumpet from us and a plane from his Nana & Papa. Now whenever he sees one of those items he says no.... I wanted a ball and a candle for Christmas. So yesterday I thought I'll ask him what he wants for his birthday and surely he'll say this ball (we own a million!) and a candle. When I asked he looked around and said, "Well we don't have a piano so lets get one of those." I couldn't believe it.... wouldn't you know it would be my kid asking for a piano. You see growing up my parents MADE me take piano and violin and I HATED it!!! I just wanted to play soccer and they wanted me to do the music thing. So I was hoping my kid would want the soccer thing, but I guess just like the blinking shoes he will choose his own path ~ it will not be for me to decide. But later on that night when I asked him again he responded that he wanted another shirt. I asked him what he wanted on the shirt and he said "a hairdryer" Yes a hairdryer....
Today is officially the last day the kids will be allowed to play with my cell phone. I've always had a pretty whatever attitude about what they play with, which has been ok because AJ is so laid back and always listened pretty well. TK is apparently another story. This child needs all the safety precautions we have and then some! And she doesn't listen at all..... she will either scream at you or nod like she agrees and then find a new quieter, sneakier way to do it. That's my girl (: So we were sitting in the living room and she was playing with the phone and then put it back on the table, so I went to the kitchen for a drink and I hear her saying "uh-o, uh-o". I go into the bathroom which is on the other side of the living and in through the master bedroom and there she is looking at a bucket of mop water that I should have emptied, but I thought was out of the way, and she is watching my phone float down to the bottom of the bucket. All my hair drying attempts did not bring it back to life..... so I'm off tomorrow am for a new phone. AJ has put in a request that I please get a black one this time. Apparently he wasn't a fan of the pink one.
Here some pics of a friend's today ~ AJ wanted to read her some books before she went to bed.

Too funny! "I" has to know everyone's name also - what's with that? And TK sounds as sneaky as "I". Enjoy your new phone!
AJ is hilarious. :) I love it.
